This Flourless Almond and Banana Bread is the ultimate Gluten-Free treat. Banana bread is always a perfect outlet for all those overripe bananas and, let’s face it, it’s just plain delicious. This Almond Flour Banana Bread brings in a slightly different twist to the average banana bread loaf. It makes a slightly smaller loaf, making it quicker to bake and faster to get into your belly (a win in my books). The combination of almond butter and banana just transforms the recipe making this the go-to snack to have with your afternoon tea. Nothing better than a treat that nourishes your body as well as satisfying the sweet tooth.

Recipe tips:

  • The riper the banana the more flavour and sweetness the bread will have but it’s not a deal breaker.
  • Be sure to get finely ground almond flour to make the mixture more consistent.
  • If the top of your banana bread looks done but the knife test reveals that the middle has a bit to go before its cooked through, turn down the heat of your oven and put a tin foil cover over the baking tray.

Almond Banana Bread Ingredients:

Beating Eggs in a Glass Bowl
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • ½ tsp bicarb
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 mashed banana
  • 1 egg whisked
  • 3 tbs almond butter
  • ¼ cup raw honey
  • 1tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup milk of choice


  • Heat up the oven to 180 degrees.
  • Add all the dry ingredients into a mixing bowl and stir well
  • Mash the banana and add the whisked egg to the banana. Stir until combined.
  • All 3 tablespoons of almond butter, the honey, vanilla and milk and stir. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix.
  • Pour batter into a prepared bread tin and place into the oven for 30 minutes or until the knife comes out clean when you test it (all ovens vary). Let it cool for 10 – 15 minutes and enjoy it.
