I’m all about the green smoothies for breakfast. It’s such an easy way to add in some greens and get you well on your way to getting your daily dose of nutrients. This Green Power: Apple and Ginger Breakfast Smoothie is filled with quality nutrients that will most certainly start your day on the right foot and get you smashing those health goals.

Ginger root is a power house and is definitely something want to include in your day. In short, ginger is known for its anti-inflammatory compounds that can help relieve muscle pain, fight infections and support your digestive health. Not to mention it goes so well in a green smoothie!

I love boosting my morning smoothies with some nuts and seeds, it ups the healthy fat content and works to keep you fuller for longer. The high-quality healthy fat from walnuts and brazil nuts can actually help boost your brainpower and improve your memory. Total win.

Sometimes when sipping on my Green Power: Apple and Ginger Breakfast Smoothie I do a mental run down of all the excellent goodies I’m putting in to my system, call me a health nerd, but it makes me happy!

  • ¼ cup cucumber
  • 1 floret broccoli
  • ½ cup apple
  • Thumb of ginger
  • ½ stalk celery
  • Handful of spinach
  • ½ frozen banana
  • Sliver of lemon
  • ½ tbs pumpkin seeds
  • ½ tbs sunflower seeds
  • 1tbs linseeds
  • 3 walnuts
  • 1 brazil nut
  • 1 tsp maca powder
  • ½ cup water or milk of choice (add more if needed)


Place all the ingredients into the blender. Put the soft ingredients near the blade first and the frozen stuff on top of this. Blend and go conquer the day!
